The USS Madawaska was originally a German vessel commandeered by the US in 1917 when we entered the war, as were all German vessels in US ports. Was used as a troop transport during the war and renamed the USS U.S. Grant in 1922, so was only named the Madawaska for those few years. Quite rare. Great piece. See pics.Shipping is 2.99.
